PENAMPANG, 31 May 2023: Papar Unduk Ngadau, Carol Abbey Gail is the 2023 State Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan pageant winner.

Together with the crown, trophy and 2023 State Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan sash, Carol Abbey, 24, also won RM12,000 in cash and a bouquet of flowers. She also gets a scholarship to study at the Asian Tourism International College (ATI), and from the North Borneo University College (NBUC).

First runner-up, Floresa Dolinting, who represented Kota Marudu in the pageant, wins RM10,000 cash prize, a trophy, a flower bouquet and other sponsored prizes; while second runner-up, Tambunan Clerice Olvia Augustine @ Justin, brings home RM8,000 cash prize, a trophy, a flower bouquet and other sponsored prizes. 

Penampang representative, Galedine Lind Mosuyun, wins fourth place, while Tuaran's Florina Wileh, Kiulu's Melni Dhial and Tamparuli's Rannysa Rachel Lee won the fifth, sixth and seventh spot.

In an interview after the crowning ceremony, Carol Abbey told the media she is a Finance Economic degree graduate and is currently looking for jobs.

She is the sixth Unduk Ngadau from Papar to have won the State Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan title.
