It is true what they say -- once your ride exceeds or nears a decade old, all sorts of unwanted things start to happen. I've been driving an 11 years old Perodua MyVi which is calling out for repairs every few months. Although I'm saving on the loan repayment as I've cleared all that, having a car that breaks down every once in a while is not that great. And so, I've been shopping -- not for a new dress or footwear, but rather, a new ride.
Fortunately, Mitsubishi carried out the Mitsubishi Xpander Venture Event at the parking lot near Likas Sports Complex on 4th and 5th of March, 2023 where interested customers could test drive and gauge for themselves if this was the vehicle for them.

The Mitsubishi Xpander 2023 is a seven-seater vehicle comes with a 'push start' and automatic transmission. It is a huge vehicle, and my two adult boys were elated of the leg space and the high roof. It is a comfortable ride, according to one of them, and I am asked when am I making the purchase. The answer is soon, I hope, because we're in need of a reliable and safe family vehicle.
I like the Mitsubishi Xpander 2023 version and during the test drive, I was to drive along the side of a hill, along rolling pins, and then to drive up a man made hill, into a two foot high pond, and come up another hill (man made, of course) and make it down to the finish line. It drives very well, and it feels sturdy and balanced, even as I droved up the side of the hill. Honestly speaking, I thought I was driving a 4WD but it wasn't. It just feels like it.
However, the price is on the steep side at over RM100,000. But I am still considering it. It feels safe, probably because its wide and quite lengthy. Still, the monthly repayment is something to consider.
